Nepal Government Salary Structure 2083 - Overview
Basic Introduction
The Government of Nepal revised the salary of government employees for the Fiscal Year 2083/84 (2026-27) through the budget. Some highlights are increase the salary, continue to dearness allowance, added 10% of incentive allowance.
One of the notable additions in the salary of government employees is 10% Incentive Allowance, calculated as 10% of the base salary (without any grades). This allowance is provided to all employees. Fixed Dearness Allowance of Rs. 5,000 per month also provided as before to all posts employee.
The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contribution at 10% is calculated on the total basic salary (base salary plus grade amount). Employees also contribute a fixed Rs. 400 for insurance and optionally can contribute their desired amount on Citizen Investment Trust (CIT). The 1% Tax is calculated on the gross income, that is, after adding the incentive allowance and dearness allowance to the salary.
